Goal Setting Tips REMAX: Part 2
Hello, my name is Richard Laurendeau of RE/MAX Westcoast. I am writing this blog post for you on behalf of Be Your Career – a group of RE/MAX offices that work together in cooperation to help our RE/MAX Realtors in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland achieve more.
In my previous blog post, I was reminded that in 2008 we faced a substantial change in the world economy; one that had a brief effect on our local real estate market in Vancouver. As a result, I wrote a series of emails that were well received at the time. I happen to stumble across these emails recently and I thought it would be worth while to revisit them and produce them for you in the form of videos and blog posts.

In part 2 of this blog series, the idea is this:
- Focus on your goals
- Stay on track
- Stick to the business plan
- Stick to a structure
Focus on Your Goals
We need to focus on our goals as a way to keep on track and stay positive. Stick to the business plan that you lay out for yourself.
Stick to a Structure
Stick to a structure; in our business, it is so easy to get distracted by non-productive events. Get in the habit of starting at a particular time each day (noon may be a little late in the day).
Take Breaks
Take breaks during the course of the day. You need to recharge. We all need to eat lunch, so why not take a past client out for lunch?
Work the Sales
Remember to set time aside to work the sales, but don’t allow any one sale to consume your entire day. Set aside block time for lead generation.
Family Time
Make sure that your day includes uninterrupted time for your family.
Stay Positive
I’ve asked our realtors to consider tuning down the news and the resulting bad press. Instead, fill your mind with positive ideas on how to better improve. There is no shortage of books available for that.
